As of 2014, NMSDC achieved several major milestones in its five-year Strategic Plan. First, we restructured our affiliate network from thirty-six regional councils to twenty-four, creating a more efficient, effective network to support and engage our 1,750 corporate members and nearly 13, 000 certified minority business enterprises (MBEs). Secondly, we began working on a dynamic vendor and certification management tool that will replace MBISYS – our minority supplier database. The new database is based on a PRISM product that positions the organization to create a fully-integrated enterprise network that seamlessly links the national office and the affiliate network. Our new single-platform system will also provide more effective connection points between the NMSDC network and our constituents.
To tie it all together, NMSDC launched a branding campaign in September 2013 to redefine the organization as the global leader in minority supplier development. This included the unveiling of a new NMSDC logo that will be customized for each of the 24 affiliates, representing a true, synergistic network.
Finally, our newly-designed website will utilize the latest technology and navigation tools to interface with corporate members, MBEs and unique site visitors. This includes an integrated marketing platform that combines traditional marketing, social media and public relations, distinguishing NMSDC as the world leader in supplier diversity and minority supplier certification.
